Beer! Glorious! Beer! P.S dont forget about Nachos : )

So all your Beer drinking Scally wags, and Pirate winches. I took another Hydrometer reading to day in the year of our lord Two Thousand and Ten. The Beer is done... Time to get it trapped in some bottles. I have been sipping here and there while taking readings, and it is pretty darn good if I do say so..

Kicked to the teeth, In a good way ...

Ok all you Beer lovers out there. I took my first Hydrometer reading on the new Oatmeal Stout. Reading came out to 1.020 SG So with a reading like that, this brew is turning out to be a beast amongst beasts. The Hydrometer gave a reading that it is right now at 8% alcohol as is. I drank the sweet brew from my testing tube, and dang it is strong and very tasty.

Anyone out there that would like to get started Home Brewing should go to http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing for the greatest prices I have found so far. If there are any old school brewers that know of a better place to get materials or supplies, feel free to send me a message with any information.

Today was a great day, I was finally able to remove my big old honking blow off tube, and replace it with my little gas vapor lock... Man I'm so excited to rock out a pint of this stout.. When its all done I might have to have a brew party, to show off my Beer.
So it is 6am Wednesday morning, and the beast is still burping and farting away.. I had to change out my blow off tube, due to the nature of the frothing of the baby. Its so great to walk into my laundry room to the overwhelming aroma of the blow off of my little Stout. I cant wait to perform the Scrooge McDuck on this beer (The Scrooge McDuck is when you fill up a kiddie pool with beer and dive into the Beer) : )

Here is a nice little picture of My little Elf...

I drove home today after work to find that my little baby Oatmeal Stout was burping and farting like any new born baby.

Day 1 The Day After Contact..

At 12:00am Mountain Standard Time, A beautiful baby was born. Well It wasn't quite a baby per say. It was more of an Oatmeal Stout.. Partial Extract, and Partial Grain. The moment the lovings where going down I knew that this was going to be the birth of my little black, tasty love child.
